Live Tinted, a Los Angeles, CA-based inclusive beauty brand, raised $3M in seed funding.

The round was led by Montage Ventures (Feals, Carbon38), with participation from Halogen Ventures (Glamsquad, ThirdLove),  Fearless Fund, a woman of color led VC (AARMY, Nudies) and Curate Capital (SocialMama, GlamHive).

The company intends to use the funds for key executive hires, retail expansion, and new product development.

Founded in 2018 by Deepica Mutyala, Live Tinted is an inclusive beauty brand originally launched as a digital community + beauty movement rooted in inclusive, diverse, and multicultural beauty, shaping a storytelling platform focused on underrepresentation in the space and championing self-love of all skin types and colors.

In 2019, Live Tinted’s first product debuted when their community’s answer to what their number one beauty concern was hyperpigmentation. So came the creation of a Huestick: a 4-in-1 multistick to be used as a color corrector to balance discoloration and dark spots under makeup, and as an eye shadow, blush, and lipstick.

The board of the company includes Deepica Mutyala (CEO, Live Tinted), Neilesh Mutyala (President, Live Tinted), Sherry Jhawar (President + Co-Founder, Blended Strategy Group), Daphne Che (Principal, Montage Ventures).
